From trade shows to client meetings, business travel is an integral part of corporate culture. However, by planning ahead and with the right organization, you can find ways to avoid travel burnout and stay productive.
Here are some helpful tips to make the most of your time while on the road:
1. Know before you go
Brushing up on your destination before you arrive is one of the most important things you can do as a business traveler. Make note of the nearest grocery store, the distance between your hotel and the exhibit hall or the exact location of your client’s office. For trade shows or presentations, determine what supplies you will need and ship equipment and booth materials directly to your destination one week prior. This will make for one less suitcase to lug around the airport.
2. Pack like a pro
Knowing how to pack efficiently for business trips will save you time and stress waiting for your luggage at the airport. Rather than lugging around a large suitcase in a new city, travel light with only a carry-on suitcase and personal item, if possible.
